 At the Pediatric Clinic, PA, our team consists of experienced, compassionate Pediatricians and Nurse Practitioners and friendly, nurturing staff members who take pride in giving our young patients the personalized pediatric care that they deserve.

All of our Pediatricians are board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics and have undergone rigorous academic and clinical training in pediatrics. We maintain a high level of expertise through continuing education in order to provide the most up-to-date care for the young patients we are privileged to serve. Our Nurse Practitioners are also board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

Gerald A. Stagg, M.D., FAAP

Pediatrics
Dr. Stagg was the original founder of the Pediatric Clinic, P.A. He arrived in Mount Pleasant in 1981 after having served as the Chief Pediatric Resident at Louisiana State University Medical Center. He is the Chief Executive Officer and President of the Pediatric Clinic, P.A.

Joel D. Chapman, M.D. FAAP

Joel D. Chapman, MD, FAAPDr. Chapman joined Dr. Stagg as an associate in 1982. He was an original founder of the Pediatric Clinic, P.A., serving as Vice President of the association. He previously served on the School Board of Chapel Hill Independent School District and is actively involved in his church.

Dr. Bradshaw arrived in1983 after time as a medical missionary in Africa and after having worked full-time as an Emergency Department Physician in South Louisiana. He was an original founder of the Pediatric Clinic, P.A. along with Dr. Stagg and Dr. Chapman.

Michael D. Henry, M.D., FAAP

Following completion of his pediatric residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, Dr. Henry joined the Pediatric Clinic, P.A. in September 2013.  A native Texan, Dr. Henry moved to Mount Pleasant with his wife and two young daughters.  He is a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mount Pleasant.  He is also fluent in English and Spanish.

Dana L. Rice, M.D., FAAP

Dr. Rice joined the Pediatric Clinic, P.A. in January, 2018. She was previously the Pediatric ER Medical Director at LSUHSC in Shreveport, LA. Prior to that, she was a civilian pediatric hospitalist at Darnell Army Medical Center in Ft. Hood TX Dr Rice is active at Spring Hill First Baptist Church, Longview, where she enjoys working with the youth groups.

Kathy Sanders, RN, BSN, CPNP

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Kathy Sanders comes to our practice from Bossier City, Louisiana, and has 23 years of experience as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. Ms. Sanders obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Florida State University in 1980. She served eight years in the United States Air Force and completed the Air Force Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program in 1988. She has practiced in a variety of settings. Most recently she worked as a civilian contractor providing medical care to military dependent children from 1988 to 2011. She is married and has a teenager daughter, Elizabeth

Greg Smith, RN, CPNP

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Greg Smith comes from Lubbock, TX and became a part of our practice in August of 2019. Greg worked 5 years as a nurse in a Level 1 Trauma Pediatric ER before joining our practice. Greg obtained his Associates of Science in Nursing in 2014 from New Mexico Junior College, his Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 2015, and his Masters of Science in Nursing from Maryville University of St. Louis in 2018. He is board certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) in Pediatric Primary Care. Greg is married to his wife Sarah and they have 3 children. They love East Texas and look forward to serving the community for years to come.

Tara Gray, FNP-C

Nurse Practitioner
Tara Gray grew up in Pittsburg, TX prior to marrying her husband and moving to Daingerfield, TX. They have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. Tara began her nursing career in 1988 before graduating in 1990 with her LVN, and in 1993 with her RN. She worked a variety of positions including medical, surgical, ER, ICU, and Home Health prior to finding her calling caring for the newborns in the nursery. While working in the nursery and assisting in the pediatric unit, she obtained a national certification for low-risk newborn care. She was a preceptor for new nurses and became an instructor in Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) and Neonatal Resuscitation Process (NRP). Tara obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2019 with focus on Family Practice and joined the Pediatric Clinic in January 2020.

Lara Rowe, RN, MSN, CPNP

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Lara came to our practice in July of 2022 with 19 years of experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She grew up in Pittsburg and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1995. She obtained her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from East Texas Baptist University in 1999 and her Master's of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman's University in 2003. She worked as an RN for 4 years at Children's Medical Center of Dallas on the cardiac and liver transplant unit. After graduating from PNP school Lara and her husband moved home and she has been practicing in the Mt. Pleasant/Pittsburg area since 2003. Lara is married with 4 children and lives in Mt. Pleasant. She has always loved children and caring for her patients and their families is her passion. Outside of work she loves spending time with her family, playing with her 2 puppies and going to her favorite place, Walt Disney World.
